'The secret of crisis management is not good vs. bad, it's preventing the bad from getting worse.'

At the weekend Build on Belief staff and volunteers turned up early on a Saturday morning, and set to work bagging up food parcels in preparation for opening our food banks. It was no easy task as there were crates and crates of donations to be sorted into individual parcels. It was important to make sure that everyone got some meat, vegetables and fruit along with whatever other goodies we could find. After several hours of packing and stacking, they gave food parcels to everyone who turned up over the next three hours. On Sunday, they returned to begin all over again.

We cannot open our services in the current health crisis, but that doesn't stop us trying to do whatever we can to support our clients through this strange and difficult time. We offer a huge round of applause to our volunteers who were dedicated enough to give us their time (and muscles) for the day. We couldn't have done it without you.
