News from Newham

We are now open again on Saturday’s and Sunday’s from 10am till 4pm.

We have Table Tennis and Art and a nice small outside space to sit - No worries, everything is aligned to Covid-19 guidelines.

On the photo below you meet our resident Red Robin who loves to come and spend time in our garden, he brings an enormous amount of joy to all of us.

We often have games such as “play your cards right” and some quizzes. At the Easter weekend we had Easter egg hunts and Easter quizzes which everyone seemed to enjoy.

As we were unable to hold our annual Awards Ceremony, we at Newham asked all of our clients and volunteers to choose their volunteer of the year and Andrei was chosen as the clear winner.

Andrei has been with us for a while now and he is extremely hard working and really helps us with some of our Eastern European clients as he is Russian. He even did his food and hygiene level 2 online where he could do this in his mother language. Andrei is polite and always as helpful as he can be for both his fellow volunteers and the clients. All of us Managers here in Newham were very pleased for Andrei when he was chosen.
