'There's nothing in the middle of the road but yellow stripes and dead armadillos.'

Build on Belief is a crucial part of Ealing’s treatment consortium, RISE.  They work well alongside Change, Grow, Live (CGL), Central North West London NHS (CNWL), and Intuitive Thinking Skills, and complement the other parts of the treatment system, bringing something unique to the local service.

As a commissioner, I’m always impressed by the way they continually evolve and try new and innovative approaches to get service users engaged with treatment and recovery.

They provide different sessions to support early engagement through drop-ins, activity based groups (including cooking, art and music), and workshops covering harm reduction topics like vaping and Hepatitis C treatment briefings.

They complement structured treatment by offering an extensive range of activities in the evening and at weekends when treatment services are often closed, and provide an early opportunity for people to get involved with volunteering at a recovery service.  Their staff and volunteers are experts by experience and RISE service users find that really inspiring, as they can see how other people have embraced recovery and turned their lives around.
