About Shine and what we do! Would you like a cuppa?

Shine is a community-led enterprise, a place for people in Haringey to come together and meet others in their local community, to grow ideas, business and networks.

Visitors can enjoy a great cup of coffee in our front house coffee Shop whilst looking at the exhibitions from local artists. We offer workspaces and host events.

We offer opportunities for people in recovery from substance misuse issues to develop skills that will support them in a return to work.

The service is managed by Sofia Carreiro and Kevin Farell and you can be sure they will greet you with a warm welcome and a cup of tea.

Shine is a community hub open to everyone, aiming to offer a safe and friendly space based on everyone’s needs. Non-judgemental and label free is Shine’s motto, staff and volunteers love engaging with costumers and making them smile.

At shine you can have a great music or art session while enjoying a tasty cup of coffee/tea, we hold a diverse timetable at the moment. Since literacy, art, martial arts, youth club, Baby sign language, social lunch to transforming rubbish into beauty, music and performance.

We're offering fresh vegetables and some food products to the community thanks to a partnership with Edible London.

Once in a while, Shine holds circus performing workshops, mindfulness courses, sisters circle group and much more, keep tuned at our Twitter account and our Facebook page.

We offer the possibility to the community to rent out a space for a fair fee and try to launch their new workshop/business or for a meeting only, for example.

Also, we support our volunteers to be trained to go back into employment giving them the confidence and skills they need to fit the future job. However, we accept volunteers with different levels of capacity, and we make sure they are happy, having fun and feeling supported while at Shine.
