Many of you I’m sure will agree - life isn’t always straight forward. Unexpected events, setbacks and curveballs can be intensely overwhelming and isolating – leading to some questionable coping strategies and life choices. Personal and professional experience within the healthcare sector, the probation service and IPS employment support introduced Build on Belief to my life.

I began volunteering at BoB Hillingdon’s Saturday service in November 2025. Very early on I witnessed first-hand how much the service users truly value and benefit from having a safe, inclusive and non-judgemental space to socialise with others facing similar, relatable challenges. I found this both humbling and inspiring.

I’m extremely proud and honoured to be appointed volunteer coordinator to support and grow our team of hard working and dedicated volunteers – they are an integral part of what makes BoB’s services so impactful and life changing for some of the most vulnerable and misunderstood individuals in society.
