Where to find us Recovery Support Programme 'The starting point for all achievement is desire.' I started running the Recovery workshops at the end of March 2023 and it has grown quickly. We started with 3-4 people but now have 9 regular weekly attendees, including one volunteer, who also engage with one-to-one sessions weekly and have been setting and completing their goals. We have a mix of people on different recovery journeys “one size does not fit all” and the course reflects this. We are happy to say that the Recovery Programme will be starting in June at Dominion Centre in Southall and will run on Wednesdays 10.30 am – 3.30pm. I am currently preparing the Recovery course to go online, from October, as a weekly one and half hour session. The attendees at the Recovery course have created a good supportive culture of recovery within the group. We have introduced a buddy system alongside the workshops, the purpose of this is to provide individuals with a supportive relationship with someone who understands the challenges and struggles of addiction ensuring support, safety, and encouragement to attend appointments, activities, or Mutual aid meetings. Attendees have already been attending Mutual Aid meetings together. More to come soon!
