When I first learnt what Build on Belief could provide for our integrated recovery services, I was really excited about the potential, not only for service users engaging in our services but also those who have problems with drug and alcohol who were not ready, or simply didn’t want to engage in structured treatment. The whole ethos of Build on Belief is why I hold the organisation in such high regard.

The work that Tim and his team do is not replicated elsewhere. The services that Build on Belief provide are exceptional and different; the recovery community and the wider substance misusing population respond well to the interventions provided. This is demonstrated in the foot fall in our services at the weekend when Build on Belief deliver weekend clubs.  The numbers that engage in our weekend interventions across Newham have grown and grown, week on week since the contract started, surpassing all our expectations. Their independence makes them stand out for the service user community.

We have had to make difficult decisions over the years due to funding cuts and Build on Belief have remained a core component of our delivery models. As well as the popularity of the services provided by Build on Belief, I have also found Tim and his team to be extremely professional and responsive, working as part of a team at a strategic and operational level. Due to this, we have recently commissioned Build on Belief to deliver services at the weekend in the new Barking & Dagenham service. Build on Belief services are great value for money and our service users receive enormous benefit from CGL commissioning them as part of our delivery models.
