'People want honest, flavourful food, not some show-off meal that takes days to prepare.'

This Omelette is both nutritious and also cost effective.

WHAT DO I NEED TO KNOW?

  • Preparation ca. 10 min
  • Cooking time 10 min
  • Serves 3-4
  • Total costs ca. £8-£10

WHAT EQUIPMENT DO I NEED?

  • 1 large saucepan

INGREDIENTS

  • Grated Cheese
  • Tomatoes
  • Mushrooms
  • Eggs
  • Milk

All of these ingredients can be found at your local supermarket e.g. Tesco etc. Also bear in mind that you won’t be using all of the ingredients I have mentioned above.

HOW TO COOK

  1. Whisk 6 eggs between the two of you if you live alone then only use 3 eggs. This can be done in a small bowl. Add a little salt and pepper (if need be) also pour in a little milk to help it rise. (which I will explain how later)
  2. Chop up the mushrooms and tomatoes (you could also add chopped up Frankfurters/Bacon) and then lightly fry them off, then add your eggs mix to it.
  3. Once the eggs have been cooked for about 5-10 mins, place the frying pan under the grill until the Omelette has risen a little bit. This is why we added the milk to eggs earlier.
  4. Now you should have the perfect Omelette, you can also add the following baked beans/salad, or just some toast.

Bon Appétit! :-)
