'You have never really lived until you have done something for someone who can never repay you.'

The second part of our Impact and Evaluation Report 2014 with a specific focus on the volunteer team. This is of interest because in essence they are the same cohort of people as the service users, the only difference being that they have a greater degree of 'recovery capital', especially in regard to length of abstinence from problematic substance use.  Yet the increase in overall well-being, especially with improving mental health is enormous. The evaluation makes it clear that volunteering has multiple benefits for those involved.

Again, we would like to give our thanks to Aidan Gray for his invaluable help with this project.
